Nélida Sánchez studied in Santa Ana Institute under the supervision of Maestro Aldo Romaniello. In the year 1971, she graduated and was awarded the golden medal.
Later, she entered the National Conservatory of Music “Carlos López Buchardo” and studied under the supervision of Maestro Antonio De Raco.
Licenciada in music specialized in piano graduated at The Superior National Institute of Arts (IUNA)
In the year 1978, she graduated as a Superior Professor of Music Specialized in Piano. From that moment onwards, she has been attending master classes delivered by Maestros Inés Gómez Carrillo, Carlo Bruno, Simón Blech, Alexis Golovine, Poldy Mildner, Joseph Stompel, Manuel Carra, and Antonio Iglesias among others.
She has studied composition, harmony and morphology with Enrique Cipolla and Fermina Casanova.
In 1991, Nélida Sánchez chaired the board of judges in the Contest of Young Pianists organized by the “Asociación Estímulo Musical de Lincoln” [Lincoln’s Association for the Stimulus of Music] (Buenos Aires province).
In 1995, she was granted a scholarship by the University of Spain to study Spanish music in Santiago de Compostela. The following year, she was offered to return and perform the work of Joaquín Rodrigo and other composers.
The Asociación Argentina de Compositores has repeatedly requested her to interpret and perform for the first time works by renown Argentine composers -some of these pieces were even dedicated to the pianist. It is also worth mentioning the fact that Nélida Sánchez was selected to perform several Spanish and Argentine works for the first time in the world.
In April, 2010, she was premiere "Danza de la Pampa" -the first number of a series entitled "Miniaturas" by Javier Jacinto, a Spanish composer who specially dedicated this piece to her. This composition was also be recorded for the first time ever by Nélida Sánchez and included in her CD entitled "Recital."
In 2010, she was invited by the Consulate of Argentina in New York to both perform several pieces written by Argentine composers and play the National Anthem during the celebration of 25th May.

She is currently working both as a private Piano Teacher and in several conservatories of music.
Nélida Sánchez frequently performs as a piano soloist, a chamber pianist, and a piano soloist with an orchestra. She is also part of a piano duet together with Gustavo Sylbersztejn and part of a violín and piano duet with Ricardo Palacio.
